Senior VP of Capital Markets
Aik Hong Tan is the President of 33 Degree Finance where he leads the 33 Degree Finance team focused exclusively on debt and equity financing for clients in the commercial real estate sector. With over 20 years experience in the financial and hospitality arena, Aik Hong has completed over $500 million in hotel acquisitions, equity raise and debt placements. He has led the underwriting of numerous hotel acquisition and development opportunities as well as raised the required equity and debt to complete these projects.
Prior to working in the US, Aik Hong directed one of Asia’s leading e-commerce companies representing over 3,000 hotels worldwide. Additionally, he served as a senior financial executive of a publicly traded company on the Singapore Exchange, with emphasis on power plant and energy related holdings. Aik Hong was actively involved in investing infrastructure projects in Southeast Asia and raising capital and debt more than $200 million during his tenure with the company.
During his diverse career, Tan has overseen a number of major initiatives including management of portfolio of hotels with revenues over $250 million, development of mixed-use real estate projects, issuance of bonds to international financial institutions, acquisition and disposition strategies for infrastructure projects.
Aik Hong earned a Master of Business Administration degree and Bachelor of Accountancy from the National University of Singapore and currently serves on the Advisory Board to the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management at the University of Denver.
