Director of Entitlements and Development

Kyle is responsible for managing the company’s strategy and activity in land acquisition, due diligence, zoning, planning, engineering, and land development on existing holdings, as well as new investment opportunities.  

He earned a BS in Community and Regional Development from Iowa State University and has more than 10 years of experience in both the public and private sector. He became well versed in project management, long-range planning and current planning working as a planner for the Iowa DOT, Pinal County, and the Town of Queen Creek. Prior to joining Simpatico Communities, he successfully managed several projects for a diverse group of clients at RVi Planning + Landscape Architecture in his role as Project Manager. 

He currently serves as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Chandler and is actively involved in numerous organizations including Urban Land Institute (ULI) Young Leaders/Partnership Forum, Arizona Valley Partnership, the American Planning Association (APA) Arizona Chapter and maintains the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) credentials. Kyle enjoys reading, hiking, and golfing. He lives in Chandler with his wife and two-year-old son.
