Oliver applies his years of experiences as a Chief of Staff in industry, and government, to connect capital partners with strategic opportunities. Oliver supports governance and owners with insights and approaches to leadership decision making. He also strengthens management and operational teams with tools to navigate, implement, and learn from complex challenges.
Oliver is a frequent lecturer on geopolitics at universities around the world. He focuses his research on diplomacy and strategy with an expertise in tax, trade, financial services, and national security policy. Oliver is a former congressional fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars. Oliver has studied at the United States Naval War College, Harvard Kennedy School, Wharton, Stanford, MIT, the University of Chicago, ASU Thunderbird, and Johns Hopkins University.
Oliver advises or serves on the board to numerous civic organizations that advance conservation, education, and public diplomacy. He and his wife, Ana, are cabinet co-chairs of the Thomas Jefferson Foundation.
